The project proposes to upgrade the existing snow pile storage sites located north of the Goodman Softball Complex off of University Bay Drive at the west end of campus.  Two site areas will be upgraded: the primary storage area just north of the practice softball field and the overflow/secondary storage area within the gravel Parking Lot 130.  Site upgrades will include installation of clean stone surface for snow stockpile storage; construction of an earthen separation berm and sedimentation basin along the berm to capture snow melt and prevent soils and debris from directly encroaching on the Class of 1918 Marsh; installation of gravel weepers to transmit snow melt from the sedimentation basin into the wetland; and asphalt installation along driveway entrance at the primary site.  Ancillary project aspects include relocation and replacement of some chain link fencing along the practice softball field, relocation of a fire hydrant and telephone utilities in the project area and wetland restoration and seeding in previously disturbed areas.
